Crafted to standout above the rest, Crazy Explosive Low evolves the franchise’s on-court technology through an essentialist lens. Crazy Explosive Low is designed to show out on the court and utilizes off-court elements with a tonal color palette across Primeknit and textile uppers. ADIDAS AND ANDREW WIGGINS UNLEASH ALL-NEW CRAZY EXPLOSIVE LOW PES
Andrew Wiggins continues to rise as the Timberwolves’ young leader in his third season. He’s putting opponents on posters on a nightly basis and creating a reputation as a lethal scorer, extending his league-leading streak of 20 or more points to 19 games. To elevate Wiggins and the next generation of future stars even higher, adidas introduces two new player editions to the Crazy Explosive Low lineup – Gold Standard and Wolf Primeknit.
Gold Standard
Never settling for “good enough,” No. 22 is creating the gold standard for evolving the game. His latest PE exudes that mentality with a deep navy upper, royal blue contrasts and gold accents on the AW logo and three stripes.
Wolf Primeknit
A nod to Minnesota, Andrew’s Wolf Primeknit edition is constructed with a unique wave pattern featuring black and gray Primeknit threads along the upper. White hits on the three stripes and AW wordmark are contrasted by an iced black outsole for a bold Timberwolves tribute.

ADIDAS LAUNCHES CRAZY EXPLOSIVE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF BASKETBALL SUPERSTARS
adidas Basketball officially unveils Crazy Explosive, a new franchise built for players with explosive moves that play above the rim. The introduction of Crazy Explosive is part of the brand’s new design and collaboration strategy that combines unique design and style elements that stand out from the crowd.
The mid-top silhouette featuring full-length BOOST allows players like Minnesota Timberwolves star Andrew Wiggins to change the game, propel slashing drives to the basket and embarrass defenders in the air. Crazy Explosive will be worn by Wiggins, Harrison Barnes, Iman Shumpert, Serge Ibaka, Marcus Smart and Justise Winslow, among others.
“adidas came to me with a shoe to make me more explosive on the court. When I tried this shoe for the first time, I really felt the difference when attacking the basket,” said Wiggins. “And we all care about style. You haven’t seen adidas shoes like this before, these shoes are dope.”
Crazy Explosive was designed to challenge the look of the conventional basketball shoe and make a style statement on and off the court. The silhouette features a Primeknit upper that enhances comfort, fit and durability, while offering striking color combinations that make statements on the court.
