adidas, the official on-court apparel provider for the National Basketball Association (NBA), today unveiled the uniforms and apparel collection for the 66th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 19 in New Orleans.
The carbon and red Western Conference and light granite and blue Eastern Conference uniforms incorporate aged metal treatment across the jersey font outlines, custom conference badges on the short and adidas logo as a nod to the French-inspired ironwork displayed throughout the city. Western Conference uniforms are designed with gold accents and granite color blocking on the shoulder-collar and lower short leg, while Eastern Conference uniforms are finished with clean, white detailing.
The NBA dribbler star badge is displayed on the upper back of the uniforms, with tonal adidas three stripes below each player’s name. The jersey armholes and bottoms are trimmed with red and blue striping as a symbol of the game’s best uniting together in New Orleans. The jersey back also features “East” and “West” prints respectively. The shorts incorporate matching red and blue accents with custom conference badges on the right leg.
Creating history night after night, James Harden has cooked defenses all season long and is a leading candidate for the MVP crown. To celebrate his record-breaking mission, adidas introduces the latest take on Harden Vol. 1.
Featuring various hues of gray across a knit upper, the silhouette is done up with orange laces and sharp purple contrasts. Gray detailing is added to the heel’s three stripes and leather toe, while gradient treatment fades from purple to orange along the outsole. “No Brakes” is printed on the left sockliner as a message to move full throttle heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
Delivering a bold look at every turn, Crazy Explosive is designed with an orange Primeknit upper, silver three stripes, checkered gray laces, purple detailing and “No Brakes” on the left sockliner.
adidas, the official on-court apparel provider for the National Basketball Association (NBA), today unveiled the uniforms and apparel collection for the 65th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 14 in Toronto. The uniforms incorporate elements indigenous to Canada and pay homage to Toronto’s NBA history, passionate basketball fans and cosmopolitan energy.
“This is the first NBA All-Star Game to be played outside the United States, and it is a very exciting time for basketball in Canada,” said Chris Grancio, adidas global basketball general manager. “To honor this global celebration and pay tribute to Toronto — the site of the NBA’s first game — we’ve incorporated design elements that are inspired by the city’s basketball history, sports culture and unique fashion scene to make an All-Star collection that players and fans will love.”
The red-and-white Western Conference and white-and-blue Eastern Conference uniforms feature a maple leaf overlay on the front of the jerseys as a tribute to the national symbol of Canada, while Toronto’s cityscape is featured across the back to represent the host city. Clean, single-layered fonts are a nod to the NBA’s early days in Toronto, where the first NBA game was played on Nov. 1, 1946, between the Toronto Huskies and New York Knickerbockers.
A star patch that incorporates the maple leaf and NBA logo is displayed on the upper back of the uniforms, while black-and-gold jock tags display the Toronto Raptors’ alternate team colors and claw logo. Featured on the jersey’s neck liner and shorts’ draw strings is a mosaic of flag colors that represent the multinational makeup of the league’s players.
The NBA All-Stars will sport warm-ups that embrace Toronto’s winter fashion and style. Black and heather gray fleece jackets include star patches that acknowledge the number of NBA All-Star appearances for each player, while patches on the right zipper pocket call out the game’s top accolades, including: Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All-Star Game MVP and NBA Championships. The on-court warm-ups also include a performance fleece shooting shirt and tapered pant with white and gold trim.
The Aurora Borealis collection is inspired by Toronto’s vibrant, cosmopolitan culture and the Northern Lights that paint the sky in upper parts of Canada. The collection features an array of adidas basketball and Originals shoes all engineered with glow in the dark styling and multicolor uppers. Each model pairs bright color palettes that blend gradient knit textures and purple accents to reflect the Aurora Borealis.
The Crazylight Boost 2.5 PE combines design cues from its predecessor with a Primeknit upper and Boost cushioning to deliver added comfort and performance on the hardwood. Harden’s PE features a two-tone upper comprised of teal mesh and reflective Xeno scales that deliver a Northern Lights tribute when hit with flash. Paired with green and deep purple accents the shoe features glow-in-the-dark tooling along the outsole, forefoot mesh and toe box. Pink hits on the silhouette’s torsion plate, three stripe detailing and a custom “13” wordmark rounds out the design.
For the first time in Dame’s signature line, the D Lillard 2 is designed with a Primeknit woven upper and Boost cushioning. The upper features purple and pink gradient threads as a tribute to the glowing, radiant waves of the Northern Lights. The silhouette matches pink hits along the iced outsole, eyelets and signature details with purple tooling for a vibrant, bold finish.
The latest take on the D Lillard 2 features all-white tooling, a Primeknit upper and Boost cushioning in the heel. Pairing Toronto’s snow covered winter with the array of colors observed in the Northern Lights, Dame’s Triple White edition also incorporates glow in the dark design elements with blue hits on the heel and outsole that meet a gradient green fade along the upper.
The T-MAC 3 was made most famous when McGrady himself wore two different colors — red and blue — at the 2004 All-Star game in Los Angeles. Calling on the historic moment, each silhouette features a glow-in-the dark upper and either blue or green outsoles that hint at the shoes’ individual glow. Embracing the city’s winter fashion and style, the pairs are designed with a leather upper and faux fur accents.
adidas and the NBA today unveiled the uniforms that all teams will wear during the league’s Christmas Day match-ups. Designed as part of the adidas NBA Season’s Greetings Collection, the uniforms continue the tradition of introducing new and unique elements each season.
This year’s uniforms incorporate primary team colors and cream tones, while player names and numbers are showcased in holiday-style script and detailed with woven rows of stitching. A scarlet NBA seal is also displayed on the back of the jersey as a nod to holiday greeting cards.
The socks, Stance’s contribution to the on-court Christmas Day look, mirror the uniform’s design and feature classic holiday colors, winter-inspired imagery and pay homage to holiday sweaters.
